Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Udham Singh Nagar, organized a Capacity Building Program on Active Learning to empower educators with innovative, student-centric teaching strategies.
The session was led by distinguished resource persons – Ms. Ravinder Kaur (Principal, Satya Bharti Adarsh Sr. Sec. School, Jagraon) and Ms. Jinny Talwar (Principal, Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, Ludhiana) – who inspired educators to shift from rote learning to activity-based, participatory approaches that build critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
Techniques such as group discussions, role play, peer learning, problem-solving tasks, and project-based assignments were highlighted, along with the use of digital tools to make learning more engaging and relevant.
Principal Mrs. Seema Gupta expressed gratitude to the experts remarking that “Active learning is the key to nurturing 21st-century skills and shaping confident, independent thinkers.”
The program concluded with a warm vote of thanks, appreciating the resource persons’ expertise and the enthusiastic participation of teachers.
