BVM USN Celebrates Earth Day with Purpose and Passion
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, marked Earth Day with a thoughtfully curated array of activities that seamlessly blended awareness, creativity and environmental responsibility. The campus resonated with enthusiasm as students actively engaged in initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable values.The morning assembly set an inspiring tone with a compelling Student Talk by Donika Arora of Class VII, whose eloquence left the audience both motivated and introspective. This was followed by a solemn Pledge, led by Iknoor of Class XI (Non-Medical), reaffirming the students ’ commitment to discipline, integrity and environmental consciousness.Adding a meaningful dimension to the day, NCC cadets undertook a Plantation Drive, symbolizing their dedication to nurturing a greener and healthier environment.The spirit of creativity flourished through a series of engaging competitions. The Inter-house Bouquet Making Competition for Classes IX–X witnessed vibrant participation and artistic excellence , with Bhagat Singh House securing the First position, followed by Aurobindo House in Second place, while Swami Vivekananda House claimed the Third position.
Young minds from Class VI expressed their environmental awareness through a colourful Poster Making Activity, while the budding artists of Class III displayed remarkable imagination in a lively Clay Moulding Activity.
A distinctive highlight was the Green Birthday Celebration during the assembly, where students celebrating their birthdays were felicitated with planters—a mindful gesture symbolizing care and commitment towards nature.
Addressing the Bvmites, the Principal, Mr. Pawan Sood, lauded the spirited participation of students and underscored the pressing need for environmental conservation. He urged them to embrace eco-friendly practices in their daily lives and evolve into responsible citizens contributing positively to the planet.
The celebration stood as a reflection of the institution’s steadfast commitment to holistic education—harmoniously integrating values, creativity and environmental stewardship into the learning experience.
