Strategic Minds Shine: BVM USN Clinches Second Position in Chess
The young chess prodigies of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, Ludhiana, showcased remarkable strategic acumen and composure by securing the Second Position in the Under-11 Boys Chess Competition at the Central Level Primary Games, held at Government High School, Govind Nagar, Ludhiana, on August 26, 2026.
Displaying sharp concentration, tactical brilliance and commendable sportsmanship, the five-member BVM contingent comprising Ayaan (IV), Dhruv (III), Saksham (IV), Harshit (IV) and Aarush (V) confidently manoeuvred their way through the competition and earned a well-deserved podium finish.
The budding chess players demonstrated that success across the 64 squares is built not merely on moves, but on foresight, patience, perseverance and intelligent decision-making. Their impressive performance brought yet another feather to the school’s cap.
The team participated under the able guidance of Ms. Rachna Bala, Event In-charge , whose encouragement and mentorship played an instrumental role in preparing the young players for the competition.
Congratulating the achievers, Principal Mr. Pawan Sood applauded their outstanding performance and encouraged them to continue sharpening their skills with dedication and determination.
